Mini Stays

The mini-stay programmes are perfect for parties of school / college students or adult groups with an interest in English culture, who wish to spend 3-7 nights visiting the local area.

We have a wealth of knowledge of the local area and we can arrange visits to local museums, galleries, churches, castles, historical houses and National Trust Properties, river trips.and guided walks on Dartmoor.Your excursions can be with or without a guide, although we recommend a guide if you do not have any knowledge of where you are visiting.

We realise how important it is for the teenage students to have fun and learn about England at the same time. To that end, we have got different town trails for the students to do, where they are encouraged to ask the local people how to find places. We teach them expressions to use, to help them do this activity. At the end of their stay we award prizes for the winning team.

For teenage groups we can arrange school integration packages, where your students join in with English students and participate in a P.E and / or English lessons. These school integration courses are very popular and get booked up very early.

Mini-stay groups have the option of combining a few hours of English lessons in the morning, before going on their excursions in the afternoon.

For both teenage and adult groups, we offer themed stays :

  • The Life of Agatha Christie
  • Castles and Churches of Devon
  • Devon Wildlife
  • Gardens of Devon and Cornwall
  • Beautiful walks in Devon : to include visits to famous tea rooms and pubs !
  • Exeter through the Ages
  • The Plymouth City Trail
  • Dartmoor guided walk with letterboxing
  • The Newton Abbot or Teignmouth Town Trail : for teenagers.
  • The Fishing Industry

Make a request and we will design a stay especially for you.

We will do all we can to ensure that your stay meets and hopefully exceeds your expectations.   We care about each and every student in our groups, that visit our centre and we are constantly monitoring all the feedback we get to improve your stay with us.
